Mount the pulley on one end of the friction board. Make sure that it is in the middle so that the when the string that will be placed is pulled by the weights, the toy car would not sway to the side. Place masking tape on where the starting point and ending point of measuring time will be and measure the distance between the two points. Record that data on the piece of paper for that will be the distance that the toy crane will run. Measure the weight of the toy crane on the triple beam balance as well as the weight hanger. Write down the data on the piece of paper. Attach the string on the toy crane on one end and tie the weight hanger on the other end of the string. Place the toy crane on the starting point then put the string on the pulley with the weight hanger on the other end as seen in the set up.
